Pre-school

Middle Barton Pre-school is situated in its own purpose built attractive building that provides a spacious, purpose-designed facility for children aged 2 to 5 years of age.

Pre-School operates on a sessional basis, running morning and afternoon sessions from 9.00 – 12.00 p.m. and 12.00–3.00 p.m, Monday to Friday. We generally offer children aged 2-3 two sessions per week and following a child’s third birthday they are entitled to 15 hours of early years care, which the parents can allocate as per individual requirements.

The Pre-School has 4 members of staff, with a variety of recognized childcare qualifications. A parent committee manages the Pre-School and an annual AGM takes place in June to appoint the new committee. Any parent or carer associated with pre-school is entitled to join the committee and we actively encourage parents to support pre-school through regular fundraising events.

The aims of Middle Barton Pre-School are in-line with those of all Pre-Schools who belong to the Pre-School Learning Alliance. Our main aim is to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age through encouraging parents and guardians to understand and provide for their children’s needs by becoming members of the community Pre-School:

Middle Barton Pre-School offers appropriate play facilities and training courses, together with the right of parents to take responsibility for and to become involved in its activities, ensuring that it offers opportunities for all children, regardless of race, colour, religion or means

Middle Barton Pre-School aims to encourage the study of the needs of such children and their families and to promote public interest in and recognition of such needs in local areas

Middle Barton Pre-School will continue to adhere to and further, where possible, the aims of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
