Travelling to a hospital in Oxford - Congestion Charge

17th August 2026

All Oxford hospitals, including John Radcliffe, Churchill, Nuffield, and Warneford, can be reached by car without entering a congestion charge area, so most visitors and staff will not need to pay the £5 daily charge.  However, some nearby roads, such as Marston Ferry Road and Hollow Way, are part of the congestion charge scheme, which operates Monday to Saturday during peak hours (7am–9am and 3pm–6pm).
